My SDC App

The My SDC App was developed for the Singapore Discovery Centre as a companion application for visitors navigating the centre's permanent exhibitions. Rather than replacing the physical experience, the app was designed to extend and deepen it, serving as the digital layer that connected visitors to content, interactivity, and discovery that the physical environment alone could not deliver.

A core feature was AR and VR integration with the exhibitions. As visitors moved through the space with the app, scanning QR codes at each exhibit unlocked a range of content: informative resources, video presentations, and AR or VR games, each tied to the exhibition's themes. The app turned each exhibit touchpoint into a portal, giving curious visitors a path deeper into the subject matter without disrupting the general visitor flow.

The app also included a 3D avatar system allowing visitors to create and customise personal characters, building a sense of identity and ownership within the SDC experience. The combination of navigation, interactive content, and personalisation made the My SDC App a companion that gave every visitor reasons to engage beyond what they could see.

The app served as a comprehensive digital companion across the entire SDC visit, providing information about exhibitions, events, and activities in one accessible interface alongside the full interactive content layer.
