SDC AR Media Wall

SDC AR Media Wall

The SDC AR Media Wall was designed as a centrepiece interactive installation for the Singapore Discovery Centre, using augmented reality to give visitors an immersive way to explore the centre's milestones and history. Where a conventional display presents an institutional story as a static timeline, the AR Media Wall made SDC's history explorable and dynamic.

Visitors engaged with the wall to surface key developments and achievements in the centre's story, with digital media layered over the physical display to create an experience that combined the weight of institutional history with the immediacy of interactive technology. The aim was an installation that was both genuinely educational and worth returning to: something that rewarded curiosity rather than rewarding a single glance.

Augmented Reality Storytelling

AR technology layered digital content over physical display elements, giving visitors an active way to explore SDC's milestones and achievements rather than reading from a static panel at arm's length.

Milestone and History Explorer

A structured experience that guided visitors through key moments in the Singapore Discovery Centre's development, making decades of institutional history accessible and interesting for a general visitor audience.

Blended Physical-Digital Experience

By combining physical display elements with digital AR content, the installation created an experience with real depth and interactivity, encouraging visitors to explore rather than observe.
