Marina Bay Sands appointed Texture to develop and deploy their self-help ticketing kiosks, enabling visitors to purchase tickets for MBS attractions and events without queuing at a staffed counter. The kiosks were designed to serve MBS's internationally diverse visitor base, with a user-friendly interface supporting multiple payment methods and a streamlined transaction flow suited to a high-footfall, time-sensitive environment.
Integral to the solution is the Kiosk Management System, a robust backend platform that ensures seamless operation and centralised management of kiosks across MBS's premises. Alongside the operational backend, Texture provides customised financial reporting formatted to MBS Finance team specifications, enabling precise transaction tracking and audit-ready records. The partnership has been ongoing since 2018.
MBS's visitor base is international, high-volume, and time-sensitive: guests arriving for specific attractions or events have limited tolerance for queues or confusing transaction flows. The ticketing kiosks were designed around that reality: a clear, multi-payment browsing and purchase flow built to handle diverse nationalities and varying levels of familiarity with the venue, at the pace each visitor needed.
The Kiosk Management System gave MBS centralised visibility and control across every kiosk deployed on the premises. Uptime monitoring, configuration management, and issue resolution could be handled remotely, reducing the operational overhead of maintaining self-service hardware spread across a large-scale integrated resort environment.
Transaction data compiled and formatted to MBS Finance team specifications, enabling precise tracking, reconciliation, and reporting across the full ticketing operation from a single data source.
