HSA Registration Kiosk

For Bloodbank@HSA, Texture developed a dual-function registration kiosk designed to improve the efficiency and experience of blood donation services. The kiosk served two distinct user groups simultaneously: donors managing their own appointment and eligibility process, and HSA staff handling the administrative tasks associated with blood donation operations.

For donors, the kiosk provided a clear, guided interface to check in, verify eligibility, and manage their appointment without requiring staff assistance for routine steps. For staff, the same system streamlined the administrative side of the donation process, improving the handling of donor information and reducing manual coordination. The dual-function design made the kiosk useful on both sides of the counter.

Donor Check-In and Eligibility

The donor-facing interface guided users through check-in and eligibility assessment step by step, with a structure clear enough to complete without staff assistance at each stage. For a service where donors frequently visit on tight schedules, reducing time spent at the counter made the experience meaningfully better without requiring any change to clinical procedure.

Staff Administration Module

The same kiosk hardware served the administrative side of donation operations through a separate staff-facing interface, giving the team access to the management functions they needed without maintaining a separate system or device. Consolidating both workflows into a single terminal improved efficiency without creating new dependencies.

Dual-Function Design

Designing one terminal to serve two audiences with different needs and different levels of access required clear architectural separation beneath a shared physical surface. The result was a kiosk that the public experienced as a donor check-in point and staff experienced as an administration tool, with no overlap between the two, all from the same hardware footprint.
