Workforce Singapore Career Kiosk

Workforce Singapore Career Kiosk

At the Lifelong Learning Institute, Texture designed and built the Workforce Singapore information kiosk, giving visitors a convenient self-service access point for career development and lifelong learning resources. The kiosk was designed around WSG's mission to support continuous learning and workforce upskilling, presenting a broad range of pathways and programmes in a format that invited exploration rather than requiring visitors to know what they were looking for before they arrived.

The interface allowed users to browse training programmes, job opportunities, and skills development initiatives by interest and career stage, guiding individuals through the options available to them and making WSG's comprehensive national offering navigable for the general public visiting the institute.

Programme and Opportunity Explorer

WSG's range of programmes, opportunities, and skills frameworks is extensive and can be difficult to navigate without a clear entry point. The kiosk organised this content by category and career relevance, giving visitors a structured way to explore what was available without needing to know the right search terms or where to start. The goal was to make the breadth of the national offering an asset rather than a barrier.

Career Development Pathways

Beyond simple browsing, the kiosk offered structured pathways that gave visitors direction based on their current career stage and interests, reducing the cognitive load of navigating a wide-ranging national resource at the point of an unplanned visit. Visitors who arrived without a specific goal could still leave with a clear next step.

Self-Service Learning Resource

The kiosk operated as a standalone resource that required no staff facilitation to use productively, fitting naturally into the Lifelong Learning Institute's environment as a place where self-directed discovery was the expectation. For visitors who might be reluctant to approach a counter with early-stage career questions, the kiosk offered a low-pressure way in.
